Who knew?

So we get this inspiration that 10 kids is not enough and we need an 11th. Sounds crazy doesn't it? This is how we got Troy. We go to Ukraine and spend thousands of dollars to bring him home. The journey is rough and the battle hard, but finally - Victory! We have our boy. Remember the saying "No one said it would be easy - they only said it would be worth it"? He is so worth it. What a wonderful son. He is so loving and smart and obedient. A far cry from the boy that we visited at the orphanage. Once he was here and felt safe - he was free to be himself. For those of you who might be thinking of doing something crazy in your life - I say follow your heart, not your head.

You are so right -- adoption is all about heart! You said it yourself - why would anyone spend themselves to near-nothing on a child 1/2 a world away that they hardly know? Just being around you and the other parents, it is clear that it also takes a special heart to have enough love to get through it all. If you feel inspired for #11, I say that the child you choose is the luckiest in the world. You guys are awesome!!

Oops. Sorry. We have 11 now. Troy was number 11. Sorry for the confusion. As much as I would love to bring them all home, I think we've done all we can.

Hello Lukes! I finally got on my stinkin' blog to get your blog address! I love it! It was so good seeing all of you at the reunion. We've missed you too! Tim really wants to move there to get his Master's Degree.
So, who knows... Perhaps we'll join you up there one day!
You truly are amazing people! Troy is such a sweetheart, as are the rest of your kiddos! So glad I can peek in on you guys whenever I want! Love and miss you!
